MOI Plans 30-Day Public Exhibition of Cihu Wetlands (National Level) Conservation and Usage Project Starting July 15, 2017, Open Information Session on August 3, 2017

In 2007, Cihu Wetlands (national level), Ministry of Interior (MOI) number TW041, was selected as a wetland of national importance by the Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of Interior (CPAMI). After the Wetlands Conservation Act came into effect in 2015, it was confirmed as one of the key wetlands of national importance. In order to maintain a complete and stable ecosystem, and to strengthen the conservation and restoration of wetlands, the Ministry of Interior started the "Cihu Wetlands (National Level) Conservation and Usage Project".
A public exhibition will be held for 30 days at Kinmen County Government and Kinmen National Park Headquarters respectively from July 15, 2017 to August 13, 2017. The information is also accessible for queries and browsing on the Taiwan’s Wetlands of Importance Website (http://wetland-tw.tcd.gov.tw) of the Urban and Rural Development Branch, CPAMI.
The Urban and Rural Development Branch also hosted an information session on the 2nd Floor conference room of Guningtou Activities Center (No. 2 Beishan, Guning Village, Jinning Township, Kinmen County) at 2PM, on August 3, 2017, to welcome locals to learn about the content and figures in the project plan.
In addition to an on-site presentation, the session also allows the public to express their opinions, and the opportunity for representatives of other citizens or groups to register to speak. If any citizen or group has any opinion regarding the content and figures of this project proposal, please submit a comment form provided or supplied at the information session to the Urban and Rural Development Branch of CPAMI, the Kinmen County Government, or the Kinmen National Park Headquarters.
